From the moment you pull up outside and then enter the Drovers Inn you just know that you are experiencing something truly unique. You can simply sense three centuries of Scottish hospitality.
Within, you can truly feel the history of the people who have passed through; the ghosts are in the walls, generations of tales in the air.
The Drovers Inn is on old inn used by the Highland drovers who used to drive their cattle down the side of Loch Lomond to the markets. The decor and furniture, in deference to the past, look as though they have not been changed or altered for a couple of hundred years.
As you enter the reception hall you are faced by a full grown, stuffed grizzly bear, an assortment of other animals and the assured feeling that this place is going to stay in your consciousness for a long time to come! And for all the right reasons.
Enjoy an extra night on the house this winter at The Drovers Inn on the West Highland Way. Check availability online at www.thedroversinn.co.uk. Phone +44 (0) 1301 704234
Given the remoteness of the location and the grandeur of the setting it is easy to imagine how welcoming the Drovers Inn at Inverarnan was to the eighteenth century traveller.
For the twenty first century visitor with backpack or luggage rack the Drovers still offers the same feeling of arrival.
The accommodation at The Drovers and Drovers Lodge offer value for money accommodation for the visitor combined with atmosphere and history.

Food & Drink information not found.
Eat, drink and enjoy the traditional Scottish hospitality, which has served travellers well for three centuries. With two bars which look and feel (and indeed in many places have been!) untouched for hundreds of years you will immediately realise why the Drovers Inn has become world famous.
But while the ambience reflects tradition and history the food is freshly cooked and embraces local ingredients. Enjoy your meal by one of the two large log fires and enjoy a whisky, a pint of traditional ale or a fine wine.
If much of the experience of dining is the ambience then rest assured this will be one of the most memorable meals you will ever have!
