Onich Hotel

The Onich Hotel, beautifully situated on the shores of Loch Linnhe, faces south with attractive gardens extending to the waters edge. It has stunning panormaic views across the loch to the mountains of Glencoe in the East and to Morvern and the Isle of Mull in the West.

Located 8 miles south of Fort William, Onich is an ideal base for an abundance of outdoor activities such as: climbing, ski-ing, walking and biking, as it is located midway between Glencoe and Ben Nevis.

All of the bedrooms are individually decorated and tastefully furnished to a high standard. Many of our rooms enjoy panoramic views through the gardens over to Loch Linnhe and beyond. With stunning scenery on all sides of the hotel, there is plenty to choose from.

Inside you'll find attractive, comfortable rooms each with its own unique look. All the bedrooms include many modern amenities such as private bathroom, direct dial telephone, satellite television, hospitality tray, radio and hairdryer.

You can choose between smoking and non-smoking rooms with certain rooms available for guests bringing dogs.

The hotel has a fine selection of double and twin rooms catering for single travellers and families. As well as many of our newly furbished standard rooms, our superior rooms are also available with their spectacular views over the loch and gardens. We also have three balcony rooms which are available for a nominal fee and are guaranteed the best views available as well as being more spacious and luxurious in decor.

Relax in our residents' lounge whilst choosing your meal before making your way through to your candle-lit table in the restaurant where the enjoyment of your meal will be enhanced by the panoramic views over the gardens and Loch Linnhe beyond.

Our restaurant offers a mouth-watering menu supplemented by daily specials prepared for you by our team of highly trained chefs. The team specialises in using fresh local produce and take full advantage of the wonderful abundance of fresh seafood and game found on our doorstep, garnished with herbs grown in our own garden.

Our comprehensive wine menu has been chosen with care to complement your meal and has been selected from the main wine producing regions of the world.

The Onich Hotel is renowned for it's wonderfully good food, great service and relaxing surroundings.  We use the very best of local produce to create  fantastic food which is perfect for enjoying with family and friends over a glass of wine.

Our newly launched Bar Meal Menu offers an extensive selection of traditional Bar Fayre food alongside a few new "favourites" which we are sure you will enjoy.

Served from Midday to 9pm daily, it's available right through the day whenever you want to eat and can be enjoyed in either our cosy Bar, Sun Lounge or even on the Terrace in the gardens when the weather is right!

Dining at Onich

Onich Hotel offers a choice of dining facilities for both formal and informal occasions. The award winning restaurant offers excellent service and comfortable surroundings in which to enjoy a variety of mouthwatering meals from our table d'hote menu. These dishes, created by a celebrated team of chefs, use the best in local produce including West Coast Seafood and Highland Game.

You can relax in the residents' lounge while choosing your menu and attentive staff will take you through to your table where a peaceful candlelight dinner awaits you. The extensive wine list is chosen to complement your food, and offers a wide selection from Europe and the New World.

For those wishing less formal surroundings, the warm, friendly and fully licensed bar is a popular choice for locals and visitors alike with tasty home cooking available all day. There is a selection of lounges for you to relax in; our Cocktail Lounge with bar, our Sun lounge with its panoramic views, which leads into the garden and our main Deerstalker bar with its wide range of whiskies, ales and spirits.

In the summer months, tables are available throughout the day and early evening in the  andscaped gardens, offering an idyllic spot for a leisurely meal. Picnic lunches are available if you are planning a days walking, cycling or touring the countryside.

Weddings

The Onich Hotel, near Fort William, has the enviable Loch side location with views over Loch Linnhe and the Morven Hills, providing a unique venue for your Wedding Day. During Summer months, May until October, we can accommodate small parties for up to 25 people with use of our Award Winning Dining Room during the afternoon, and private use of our small Cocktail Bar for a get-together after your Wedding Meal.

During November until April, we can accommodate larger gatherings for up to 50 people with additional evening guests. After your meal, we can offer you the use of our Sun Lounge and Cocktail bar for your Wedding Dance. With the ability to tailor-make your day to fit your requirements, should this be from the colour of the flowers on the Dining Room tables to the Menu and beyond, we will ensure that no detail is overlooked.

As no two Weddings are the same the Hotel Manager and Head Chef will be happy to work with you to produce the Wedding of your dreams.

Meetings

The meeting room is the ideal place for small conferences or meetings and a guarantee that the experienced and professional staff will give it their best attention. The room has the capacity to hold 40 people Theatre Style and 25 people Boardroom Style.
